This is the first annual report on distribution, seasonal movements and migration behaviours of humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) in the Ponta do Ouro Partial Marine Reserve (PPMR).
Humpback whale research has been undertaken in the area for the past 10 years as part of Dolphin Encountours Research Center (DERC) and DolphinCareAfrica’s (DCA) opportunistic monitoring work. Data has been previously compiled within the annual DolphinCare Report - Monitoring of Marine Megafauna within the PPMR.
